“It was wonderful hosting 123 Andrés at Carolina Theatre of Durham. Thank you for being so amazing on stage and off. We really appreciated your willingness to add an additional show and your communication was excellent, every step of the way. Our audiences loved how you made yourselves accessible, interacting with students and families during and after the performances. You seamlessly created a very special music and language learning environment - sharing, and encouraging fun, diversity, inclusiveness, and so much joy! We look forward to you returning soon! - Shana Adams, The Caroline Theater in Durham, NC.

The assemblies were perfect!  During the assembly, our students who speak Spanish were extremely excited to see bilingual performers.  All of the students were excited about the mention of music, dance, and language from their cultures or from their friends’ cultures.  The staff were very appreciative about the focus on different cultures and global learning. All of them said to bring them back next year! - Christina Parent, school counselor, Pine Crest Elementary (4th-6th grade)

“123 Andrés imparts the joy of language, music, and movement in a bilingual collection of songs that is storytime and classroom-friendly.” – American Library Association, Children’s Division

About

Company Background

123 Andrés is the Latin Grammy-winning team husband-wife team of Andrés and Christina, and they have performed for audiences across the US and in Puerto Rico, Panama, Mexico and Colombia.

Andrés grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, and learned how to play the guitar from his father at an early age. He had his first studio experience at age 8, and from there he went on to earn a Doctorate in music and won the National Composition Contest in Colombia for one of his early songs.

Christina grew up in the Midwest in a Spanish-speaking immigrant family from Colombia. Her love for the stage started when her mom signed her up for theater and dance as a child. After college she worked in the classroom as a public school teacher, and received a Masters in Education. When she joined 123 Andrés, she found her calling teaching through music.
