A reimagining of Peter Pan as told by Wendy Darling…

Wendy gazes out at the night sky dreaming of blue lagoons, magical moons and most of all, stories. And tonight, there’s magic in the air. Fly with Wendy and her brothers as they create the world of Neverland, where time stands still and the impossible seems possible. Even everyday objects become extraordinary under the magical moon.

A sparkling new production written by international award winning writer Mike Kenny, scored with exquisite live music and songs, enthralling movement and a sprinkle of fairy dust.

Best for Grades: K-5th

Company Background

tutti frutti has been creating imaginative, visual and meaningful story-based theatre for children for over 25 years. We specialize in bringing fantastic, distinctive and carefully crafted shows to children aged 3+ and their families and teachers across the UK and the world.  We commission award-winning writers like Mike Kenny, Evan Placey and Emma Reeves to write new plays for children and adaptations of traditional stories.  Over the years we have delivered high quality touring productions and built an excellent reputation for inventive, creative and highly physical productions for children aged 3-7 and their families.

In 2013 we started making in-roads into international touring. We have toured several times to Hong Kong, Singapore and Ireland, performed Rapunzel at the Assitej World Congress in 2014 in Warsaw and Wild! at the IPAY Showcase in Madison, US in 2017. We were also juror selected to perform at the Assitej World Congress in Cape Town in 2017.

We currently perform to around 25,000 children and their families giving over 250 performances per year.  Recent productions include Underneath a Magical Moon, Wild!, Snow Child, Rapunzel, The Boy Who Cried Wolf and Monday’s Child.

Critical Acclaim

Every aspect of Underneath a Magical Moon has been lovingly crafted with the utmost care, and I have no doubt that the show will delight children and adults in equal measure.

—British Theatre Guide

…a sparkly kaleidoscope of expertly-choreographed movement, joyous action routines and absolutely corking songs. What’s all the more impressive is that this is achieved with a cast of just three, each one of whom…..– gives it their all and deserves a tip of the (green felt) hat. 5 Stars!

—Northern Soul

Underneath A Magical Moon really was a delight, the boys loved it, and I’m sure many of the children who see it will be inspired to go home, pull out old sheets and buckets and create their own pirate ships, Wendy houses and anything else their imagination can conjure up.

I’m still glowing from the magical spell cast by Mike Kenny’s reimagining of Peter Pan presented by Tutti Frutti

—Pocklington Post

Wendy Harris’s production proves that you don’t need wires or expensive technology to make Peter Pan take flight.
