John O'Neal
John O'Neal, the co-founder of the Free Southern Theater, (the theater of the Civil Right's Movement), and the founder of Junebug Productions, brings over 45 years of experience to your community through his residency work and teaching. Mr. O'Neal has taught in over 30 universities and colleges across the USA and in many more community settings. He is the recipient of numerous awards and incredible critical acclaim. John brings his vast and unique experience in making theater, which reflects the stories of people and their communities, to your projects and your classrooms. He has been particularly successful in bringing diverse people together to dialogue about difficult subjects, particularly racism. He is available for leading community-based projects in your community, facilitating meetings, teaching, and directing.
Theresa Holden
Theresa Holden, the director of ACC and the co-director of Holden & Arts Associates, offers consultancy services, meeting facilitation and workshops for presenters, performing arts companies and artists. For over 28 years Theresa has offered her clients a variety of services, including strategic planning, board development, community engagement activities, equitable and productive meeting facilitation, leadership workshops and long range planning. Theresa has taught the Emerging Leaders Institute at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters for the past 8 years, served as project producer for many community based projects across the USA, taught in universities and community organizations, and facilitated collaborative learning sessions with diverse organizations. Theresa holds a Master of Arts in Theater and is a fellow at New York Universities' Research Center for Leadership in Action. Theresa and John O'Neal together won the Leadership for Changing World Award from the Ford Foundation.
Theresa and John have worked together for over 28 years and often find that a project is best accomplished when they take it on together.
